Okay, now that we’ve been experiencing sub zero temps every night (and many days for that matter), for the last couple months, save a few days last week, I don’t think I miss the “good” old days that much after all. Really starting to look forward to a nice warm spring.

Looks like some good times right there, but I sure hope the southern part of the island doesn't have that much snow.

Yeah, the deer may be in deep doo-doo. I’ve only seen 3 winter kills so far, but I fear they are drawing down their reserves quickly. If we have a cold spring it’s not going to be pretty. The goats and bears don’t care, but we are at the bleeding edge of what a Sitka blacktail’s natural range would be. The deer population is currently very high, but I like it that way.
